I can never think of anything clever to put as the title...

We will be 36 weeks prego on Friday. It seems so close and so far at the same time. I had my baby shower a few Saturdays ago and man, Ryder is SPOILED!!! He got so much stuff. I think we are set on diapers for a while! He got so many cute clothes! We took a tour of Banner Gateway, the hospital we will be delivering at. They just showed us around to the different rooms. It was very helpful, but I still am a little nervous. Chase was able to get all the wrong turns out of his system so when it's go time he'll know exactly where to be:) Now time to pack the hospital bag. I'm thinking that will be fun for me because just another thing that means it's coming closer!

Chase is busy, busy, busy!!! He finished school and had a great semester! Got the highest GPA he's gotten... like ever! I like to think it's because he is working harder for his family now that we have a baby on the way. He took a long vacation from Dominos so he could do training for MPS Transportation. From the way he talks he is really liking what he does. He seems to enjoy it. I think it will be perfect for our family.

This time of year seems so busy, but we love it! We've been getting our Christmas shopping done and can't wait to see everyone's reaction. We hope they like them:) This week especially we have a lot going on in the evenings.

Tonight (Tuesday) Brittany & Emma (Bryan's Family) are coming in town for Christmas so we are going out to hang out with them.

Then Wednesday we are going to see the Temple lights. One of my favorite things to do around Christmas. We'll see how it goes this year, I've been having a hard time walking too long with these pregnant feet of mine. All this shopping is wearing me down.

Thursday night we are having our somewhat new tradition of like 3 years and celebrating Christmas with the Walkers (my mom's sister's family) We'll be having Mexican food and playing a few games!

Then Friday is Christmas Eve so we'll be fun, some of us are spending the night so it'll be just like when we were kids!

Christmas day is almost here! I'm trying to think of someway to have the kids be reminded of why we celebrate Christmas, but not quite sure waht to do. Thought about having them act out the Nativity, but not sure how easy that would be. I guess we'll see what I can come up with.

Then Sunday we will be at the Gibson's! Cannot wait! We are bringing rolls for dinner and I want to do home made ones, we'll see... I've never really done it before.

This last Saturday I went to a Cookie exchange. It was my first time doing one and it was a lot of fun! There were so many good cookies! I will definitely do things differently next time. First off, I have not quite figured out the purpose of seran wrap. 2nd off cookies aren't as fun as other treats! and don't volunteer to bring someone else's cookies:)

We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas with your family!!!

So much going on! We love it!

We have been pretty busy it seems, but we love it. Especially because most things are family related:) Now to flash back and hit the big stuff.

Chase and I celebrated our first year anniversary, it was so much fun! We went down to Tucson and went to the zoo down there. Chase is so good to me and is always willing to go with my ideas. I can't believe it has been a year already, but at the same time I can't imagine my life without Chase! I am so lucky!!!

Ryder is still doing well! He loves to move most during Church it seems, just hope that doesn't cause problems after he is born:) We are 32 weeks and are going crazy with anticipation! We are so excited for him to be here!
Speaking of Ryder, we are still working on his room. The popcorn is off, and most of the wall is painted, but will need a second coat. And the ceiling took way more paint then we thought it would. So unfortunately it is still a work in progress.
My work threw me a baby shower. It just made it seem more real and seem closer. We got a bunch of fun stuff!!! People were very generous! I am having my baby shower thrown by my sisters this weekend. Very exciting stuff going on!
Chase is busier than ever! He is going to school full time, working dominos, and he got a part time job at Segull Book for some extra income during the holidays. He is also studying to get his CDL so he can start training with Mesa Public Schools to do bus driving.
We had a fun and filling Thanksgiving! We are so blessed to have both of our families close together so we were able to see both sides.

Our Brother Dallin recieved his Mission Call! He reports April 6th and is going to Spain! It will be so fun to see the changes in his life. And I'm sure Ryder will miss his Uncle! We'll have to show pics of Dallin to him so he knows who he is when he returns!
We have put up most of our Christmas decorations! I love this time of year! Here is our Christmas tree! I love it! We even have a few presents underneath:)

I've been in a crafty mood which is always fun! So far I've made these little magnets to hang up Holiday cards we recive. I kinda wanna make some year round ones because I think they are cute and even better EASY!!!

I started to make us a fun wreath, but our wire cutters don't cut wire very well, so I decided to put that craft on a temporary hold.

We are excited for Christmas and all the Christmas festivities! So far we have already had a Christmas party with some of my friends and my work holiday party. We won a DVD player which is fun!

September 2010

Hey all!... or one (depending on who actually reads this)

So not a whole lot has been happening. Ryder is doing well. We had an ultrasound last week and he is growning perfectly:) He weighs 12oz and has 2 kidneys!!! Doc says everthing looks great! And I'm feeling great too which is a bonus. I think I have a pretty easy pregnancy so far. (Knock on wood!)

Chase is still playing softball, pitching. He is doing well, but always room for improvement. He could also use a little help from his team:)

Our big family excitement... CHASE IS EXCITED ABOUT SCHOOL!!! He met with a counselor the other day and realized he wants to persue a degree in Secondary Education in Social Studies. I have never seen him talk about school positively. It was really comforting for me to see. It actually made me teary eyed because this is something we're been worried about a little bit.

Other family excitement... CHASE IS THE RED LOBSTER SHRIMP CHAMP!!! Right now they are doing all you can eat shrimp and so me & a few family members went and feasted! Towards the end, the waitress mentioned something like wow I think you might be getting close to the record. And Chase took the challenge! I was so proud:)

We are getting ready to start working on Ryder's room. Gonna scrap off the popcorn ceiling and do some painting. Pretty excited! Hopefully it will be cute. We are just renting so I don't want to spend too much, but at the same time we are planning on being their for awhile. I'll have to post some before and after pics. Hopefully Chase will let me put him to work:)

Catching up!

So... where to begin???

How about with the most exciting part of our lives? We are now 18 1/2 weeks pregnant and so so SO excited! We found out it's going to be a baby boy! His name will be Ryder Nelson Gibson! Cute right? We are so excited and trying to plan for his arrival! We bought the crib, changing table, matress, and a glider. I think I'm starting to feel him move but still sometimes unsure. but with it being the same feeling so much, it has to be it! It just feels different then what I expected. We are learning so much about pregnancy and kids! What other news??

Courtney is back to work at Lifetouch working full time. Chase is going to school full time and working at Dominos part time. And looking for a second job to bring in some extra bucks! (If you know of anything let him know!)

Recap, Sea world was fun. We got to meet Bryan's now Fiance and baby girl. We love them and can't wait for them to be apart of our family.

We also went to Tennesse for the Cannon Family reunion! Courtney's first time flying! She is still having mixed feelings about it. hehehe. It was alot of fun to be with family members we don't see that often.

This weekend we are going to Grandma & Papa's house in Show Low. Hopefully it will be cooler!

I'm probably going to need to wear maternity clothes soon, so that is kinda fun! I already bought 2 shirts. One fits the other is still a tad long. Hopefully going to get some pants this weekend. Along with Chase some new shoes:)

Since our last post...

Since we have last posted we have found out we are pregnant!!! We are about 8 1/2 weeks pregnant due January 27, 2011. We found out we were pregnant on May 26th and had our first Dr. appt the next day. We had so much fun telling our families!

Other excitement in The Gibson home, Chase celebrated his first Father's Day!!! I think/ hope I caught him by surprise. He got a little bib that said I Love Daddy. I know that our baby is going to love him. He is going to be a wonderful father! he also got a brand new polo and he looks great in it:)!!!

It was also Mom (Gibson)'s birthday. Me & Chase (mostly Chase) surprised her by getting her a new shower curtain for the guest bathroom and some matching towels. Chase also cleaned up that bathroom. It looked great. We had cake and ice cream and ended the night watching The Office!

We went on a Gibson Family campout. All in all I think everyone enjoyed it. Unfortunately a few families had to leave early due to unhappy campers and sick campers. It was so sad listening to them cry. I had a lot of trouble sleeping due to the cold weather. I WAS FREEZING!!!

We had our 2nd Drs appt today, it didn't go how we hoped. We thought they told us at our last one that we'd hear the heartbeat but that didn't happen. I guess I misunderstood them at the last appointment. I'm really bummed because I was really looking forward to it. So now we have to wait another 4 weeks. On the plus side, she did say I could ride roaring rapids at Sea World! So that's one more ride I can do! We are going to the beach and Sea World for the 4th of July! We are so excited!

tons o' events!

Someday we will get better at this...

So what has been happening in the Gibson home lately???

Well we had 2 softball games last friday and lost both. It was a pretty crummy night. It wasn;t so much our team was making tons of errors, they were just hitting it where we weren't. So we are now 3-4-1 I think.

We also participated in our wards Elder Quorm pinewood derby. It was kinda lame, there wasn't a good turn out. we tied for 6th out of 16 cars. Not too bad I guess.

Here is our car....

Cool right???!!!

Chase had last Saturday off so we took advantage of it and had some fun! We went and saw the new Robin Hood. It was good. Unfortunately, we stayed up late the night before working on our derby car that I was getting kinda sleepy.

Our Nephew Wyatt turned 1 and he loved cake!!!

I had girls night and we decorated cupcakes. We did a lady bug, a monkey, and a duck. I only have pictures of the duck. They were the cutest, and the hardest to make. I think it was too hot in my house so stuff kept slipping off. it was a lot of fun though!

Last night Dallin graduated from Mesa High! We are so proud of him. And because of that joyous event, Chase's dad came to town which is always fun!

Upcoming events (incase we don't have a chance)

Tonight we are helping my parents move. They have to be out in a few days and still have tons to do. I love their new house and more importantly, they do too!

Tomorrow we have Gibson family pictures! We have been waiting a long time for this! Even Stephen & Jodi will be here!

Monday is Memorial day and my first Gibson family tradition (I think). Every year they go to Grandpa Gibson's grave in Tucson and have a lunch and games. I am excited! We'll make sure to bring lots of water:)

I don't think there is anything else worth mentioning... thanks for reading!!!

Also...

I have realized why most women do this without their husbands.... they are soooooo- boring! It took Chase an hour to NOT pick a background! They were all too girly apparently. So he said that I could do a post without him... I did more than that;)

Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day!

All in all it was a great day! We started with The Gibson Family and honored Momma Gibson! We had a potluck feast!!! It was great to spend time together with the entire family (minus Stephen & Jodi & and Dad)Mom was very loved!

Then we headed to the Packer home...

Unfortunately, due to siblings be married, we never got to See The Davis Family & the J. Packer family. Jen & Kyle were there along with Bryan, Mom, and Dad. Papa and Grandma were even over! It was nice to spend time with them. We watched 27 dresses, which I love!!!

It was nice being able to honor both of our Mother's! We hope they know how much we love them!

We've been busy on Friday nights playing softball! Chase pitches and Courtney plays Left Field. We have so much fun and are doing really good! So far we are 2-1-1! Courtney injured her leg in the first game last week and is kinda scared for tomorrows practice. Not sure if it will still hurt. We think she pulled her hamstring:(

Nothing else is really going on. Courtney is officially laid off for summer vacation and is expected to return July 26th, could be sooner though... hopefully. So until then she is the houseworker and sits at home watching her shows eating bon bons...

Chase finished the Semester! and did really well! I guess all that nagging from Courtney really paid off! And of course she still thinks he could have done better:) So now he has a summer to relax until school starts again in the fall.

So what do the Gibson's do during the day since no work and school??? Today was full of sleeping in and cleaning. Courtney cleaned out the fridge that smelled of vinigar (Pepperchini juice spilled all over) and Chase cleaned off our carport from leaves, dirt, etc. And cleaned our bedroom. He even made our bed!!!There is something wonderful about a clean house! We have a few vacations planned and we expect to enjoy our break with each other and make the most of it!
